Maria is the Corporate Development Director of SAMANIEGO Law. She manages the firm’s Iberoamerican network and its alliances and provides support to the firm in all aspects of business development, institutional and public relations, communications and executive assistance to projects.

Specialization and career

Maria is a passionate and resourceful professional with an extended international experience in the professional services industry and in the last decade focuses in the legal services sector.

Prior to joining Samaniego Law, Maria was the Marketing and Business Development Manager at the Madrid office of an international commercial law firm, where she also coordinated the Latin American strategy of the firm and gave support to the US steering committee and Russian interest group. Before that, she has worked in the real estate, tourism, executive search industries as well as in the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Education

Maria holds a degree in International Relations from St. Petersburg State University, Russia (cum laude). Her recent professional training includes advanced education on digital marketing and technology.

Other relevant information

Maria has full proficiency in English and Spanish, is a native Russian speaker and has a good knowledge of French. She is a member of the FIDE Foundation in Madrid and an active participant in legal marketing and management forums. She also actively promotes pro-bono and Corporate Social Responsibility activities in the legal sector.
